Vice President & General Counsel Regina McNeil oversees legal, regulatory and board matters, corporate communications and human resources. She joined NECA in 1996 as a regulatory manager. In 2000, McNeil became senior attorney, where her work to secure settlements associated with the WorldCom and Global Crossing bankruptcies earned her the 2003 Tobi Campbell Award for Excellence, NECA’s top honor.
McNeil started her career as an economist for the U.S. Department of Labor. She worked in West Germany in information systems management for the U.S. Department of Defense. She later practiced law in a private firm for four years prior to joining NECA.
McNeil holds a bachelors degree from Fordham University in economics, a master’s degree from Northeastern University in economics, a JD from Georgia State University, and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
