How can I obtain a list of all assigned SIDs?A complete list of Cellular SIDs can be ordered by completing and returning the Cellular SID List Order Form, along with the $300 list fee.
How do I request a new SID?
Companies requesting a new SID simply submit a Request for New or Modified SID Form along with $525 payment, to the contact listed on the bottom of the form. Payment can be made by credit card, check or money order. Checks and money orders should be made payable to NECA with the licensee name written in the Memo section.
I've been told I need a new SID right away. How long will it take to assign my new code?
SIDs are assigned within two weeks of our confirmation of payment and verification of information submitted.
Is any specific documentation required with the submission of the request form?
Requestors are required to have an FCC assigned cellular license, however it is not usually necessary to provide us with a copy of the license. Providing the call sign on the request form is generally sufficient.
As a Wireless Reseller, do I need to apply for a SID?
No. Resellers are not eligible for SID assignments.
How many SIDs may I request?
Generally, one SID is assigned per FCC license.
