Whippany, NJ – September 12, 2005 – The National Exchange Carrier Association (NECA) has mailed ballots to the 787 members who are eligible to vote in this year’s Board of Directors election. The final day for NECA to receive mailed ballots is October 11 and the last day for voting in person is October 12 at NECA’s annual meeting in Charleston, West Virginia. There are two candidates for one seat in Subset 3 (companies with less than $40 million in annual telecom revenues.)
The candidates are Randy Houdek, General Manager of Venture Communications Cooperative in Highmore, South Dakota; and John Dillard, President of Monroe Telephone Company in Monroe, Oregon. Houdek is a current member of the board who was appointed to the fill the unexpired term of Tim Dupic who resigned from the board earlier this year. The term expires on December 31, 2005.
Each subset nominates and elects its own representatives. Outside directors are elected by the entire membership.
