Charleston, WV - October 12, 2005 – The National Exchange Carrier Association (NECA) today announced the election of Randy Houdek, General Manager of Venture Communications Cooperative in Highmore, South Dakota to its Board of Directors. Houdek will represent NECA’s small company members, those with less than $40 million in annual telecom revenues.
“I look forward to representing the interests of the Subset 3 companies at a time when so many important regulatory and statutory changes are being debated,” said Houdek.
The fifteen member NECA board includes two representatives of Bell Operating Companies (Subset 1), two representatives of companies with greater than $40 million in annual revenue (Subset 2), six representatives from all telephone companies with less than $40 million in revenues (Subset 3), and five outside directors who represent all subsets.
