Relay service reimbursement rates are recalculated each year, based on the provider cost and minute data submitted in the annual "Relay Services Data Request". (See the data request and its instructions in the TOOLS/TRS Fund section of the website.) The TRS Fund Administrator submits the proposed rates for the following July - June funding period to the FCC on May 1. The FCC usually releases the funding order at the end of June, approving the reimbursement rates, the fund size and the carrier contribution factor.
