NECA adds DSL speed options to tariff

08.05.16 – NECA recently modified its interstate access tariff (Tariff F.C. C. No. 5) to add five Asymmetric and four Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line speed options. These additional speed options will allow its members with advanced broadband networks to offer their network and anchor customers additional options for high speed broadband transmission services. The new options also meet proposed FCC benchmark speed options.

Asymmetric DSL Voice-Data and Data-Only speed options are now offered at 1/10 Mbps, 3/25 Mbps, 100/200 Mbps, 100/500 Mbps and 100/1000 Mbps (1 Gbps). Also offered are four new Symmetric DSL Voice-Data and Data-Only speed options of 50 Mbps, 200 Mbps, 500 Mbps and 1000 Mbps.

All new speed options are available at monthly retail and DSL Wholesale Pricing Plan rates with WPP Term Plan Volume Pricing Plan discounts also available.

The tariff provisions were filed under Tariff Transmittal No. 1492 on July 21 and become effective today.
