9.04.19 - The House Communications and Technology Subcommittee announced it will hold a hearing on September 11, 2019, entitled “Legislating to Connect America: Improving the Nation’s Broadband Maps.” |  press release 

8.29.19 - The Senate Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, Innovation, and the Internet, announced it will hold a field hearing in South Dakota on September 5, 2019, entitled, Transforming Rural America: A New Era of Innovation. Among other things, the hearing will explore the need to bring additional reliable broadband connectivity to rural America. | press release

07.10.19 – Several representatives introduced the Measuring the Economic Impact of Broadband Act. The bill would require the FCC Bureau of Economic Analysis to conduct a study of the effects of broadband deployment and adoption on the U.S. economy. | press release

07.09.19 - Fourteen members of Congress sent a letter to all the FCC commissioners, urging them not to establish an overall cap for the Universal Service Fund or combine the cap of any of the USF programs.
