09.28.17 - Senate and House Democrats announced their economic agendaentitled “A Better Deal: Universal High-Speed Internet,” which proposes to bring high-speed, affordable internet to every American by investing $40 billion in federal dollars to build broadband infrastructure. | Press Release

09.27.17 - The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation will hold an executive session on Wednesday, October 4, at 10 a.m. The session will include the consideration of David J. Redl’s nomination to lead NTIA. | Press Release

09.14.17 – The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs will hold a hearing titled “FCC’s Lifeline Program: A Case Study of Government Waste and Mismanagement.”Chairman Pai; Vickie Robinson, Acting CEO and General Counsel of USAC; and Seto Badoyan, Director of Audits at GAO, are scheduled to testify.

09.06.17 - The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation held a hearing titled “Risk of Waste, Fraud and Abuse in the FCC’s Lifeline Program.”  This hearing follows a recent GAO report documenting recurring failures of evaluation and oversight of the Lifeline program.
